My story with food began at just 14 years old, washing pots in a five-star hotel in Somerset, England. I didn't know it then, but that first kitchen would start a journey that would take me far beyond anything I imagined.

My career eventually took me into the British Army, where food and cooking became a passport to some extraordinary experiences.

I've cooked in demanding environments around the world, but I've also had the privilege of cooking for some remarkable guests, including King Charles, while he was Prince of Wales, and Princess Anne.
From cooking in challenging conditions to preparing food for royalty and senior international guests, every experience taught me something different.

Today, my cooking combines fine-dining technique with theatre, storytelling and a little mischief. I've competed at a national level, placing 9th in Australia's Professional Chef of the Year, and I continue to develop my craft, searching for new ingredients, techniques and ways to surprise the people sitting at my table.

I’m Lee Kemp — and my journey to the table has been anything but ordinary.

Heading 5

Great food isn't only about what is on the plate. It's about the memory you create around it.
Years later, that idea became Course by Course.

Course by Course brings all of that experience into your home.

Not simply to cook dinner.

To tell you a story, one course at a time.
